The association Illa das Esculturas de Pontevedra, is born in Pontevedra, on June 14, 2000, in order to represent, to promote, to defend, and to restore the artistic social and cultural interets of the project -the park- ISLAND OF THE SCULPTURES, seated in the island of the Xunqueira of the river Lérez of Pontevedra, consistent of a permanent exhibition of twelve artists of international prestige of the widest area of the cultural spectrum.
